Your day
Weather and steps on your days
Twos can record the weather and your step count for each day and show them in a small line under the date.
Why you'd care
If you use Twos as a journal, the day's context is part of the memory. A year from now, "it was 31° and I walked 14,000 steps" says a lot about the day you wrote about, and it costs you nothing to record.
The 60-second version
- Turn on Settings Appearance & accessibility Record weather. Each day shows its high and low, and every new thing you write keeps the temperature and conditions from when you wrote it. Open thing info to see it.
- On your phone, turn on Settings Appearance & accessibility Record steps. Twos asks for permission to read steps from Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, then shows your daily total on each day.
Both are off until you turn them on.
Going further
Weather uses your approximate location. It is looked up for the area you are in (about 11 km), from Apple Weather. It does not need location permission.
Steps catch up when you open the app. Twos reads your step totals each time you open it, including the days you missed, up to 30 days back. Yesterday's final total lands the next time you open Twos.
Steps show on the web too. The web can't read health data, but the totals your phone recorded show on your days there.
Only you see these. They never appear on a day list you share, and they are never shared with anyone.
Turning one off stops recording and asks whether to keep or delete what was already saved.
Settings that change this
- Settings Appearance & accessibility Record weather records the weather for days and new things.
- Settings Appearance & accessibility Temperature unit picks Fahrenheit or Celsius.
- Settings Appearance & accessibility Record steps records your daily step count. Turn it on from the iOS or Android app.
- Settings Appearance & accessibility Show weather and steps on days and Settings Appearance & accessibility Show weather and steps in the capture view hide the numbers from your days or the capture view. Recording keeps going.
